I assess and treat complex trauma and work with motor vehicle accident victims, injured workers (WSIB), first responders and veterans. I specialize in medical-legal, psych-vocational, LTD and catastrophic determination assessment. I provide assessment and treatment in St. Catharines and assessment only in Hamilton and the GTA from Vaughan to London.

      Meet the Team

      Ms. Jennifer Cremieux

      Jennifer Cremieux is a registered psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and is a general member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals. Jennifer is a former NCAA student-athlete and received her Master of Science in Mental Health Counselling at Niagara University in New York. With over 10 years of clinical practice, she has extensive knowledge in the post-MVA rehabilitation and WSIB field conducting psychological assessments and treatment. She focuses on children, youth and adults struggling with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, sports psychology and family issues. Her primary theoretical orientation involves a cognitive behavioural and mindfulness approach to promote change and wellness.

      Ms. Laura Dowler MSW RSW

      Laura Dowler is the Executive Director and owner of Grand River Counselling. She began her private practise in 2012 after working with a variety of client populations such as community services (sexual assault, domestic violence, criminality, mental health), correctional settings and children’s mental health. Laura Dowler has a Master of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. She is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and the Ontario Association of Social Workers. In addition, Laura has a Honours B.A. in Criminology and a Diploma in Police Foundations. Laura specializes in working with trauma, mental health, and relationship issues. Laura has a special interest in working with First Responders, male survivors of sexual abuse, victims of narcissistic relationships and complex mental health issues. Laura uses Trauma-Informed Treatment and Trauma Therapy utilizing approaches such as EMDR, Attachment-Focused Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Psychodynamic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy and Mindfulness Meditation.

      Ms. Robin Dhaliwal, MSc, Registered Psychotherapist

      Robin Dhaliwal We all go through many different challenges and struggles in our lives. Often at times, we feel that we are stuck and are not being understood. It's difficult to make the first step to call someone, but once you do, there is a great sense of relief. I provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment. Together, we will work through challenges, to help you realize your full potential, and growth. I use an eclectic approach in my treatment, and come from a culturally sensitive background in my work. I am very passionate about helping others. I also conduct psychological, vocational and psychoed assessments. I am a registered psychotherapist, and am also under the supervision of a registered psychologist. I have my Master's degree from Niagara University. I believe that we all have the potential to grow and heal from our life obstacles, and issues. I believe in the empowerment in all individuals.
